GuitarsDavid's next book release is a slight deviation from guitar tutors. Over the past twelve years, he has carried out interviews with some of the top guitarists in the world - Eric Clapton, Peter Green, David Gilmour, Frank Zappa and many more*. Until now, most of these interviews have only been published once and many of them were edited down from hour long conversations into magazine sized articles and so plenty of material hit the cutting room floor. In Talking Guitars, David has, in many instances, gone back to the original interview tapes to produce a kind of 'Director's Cut' with unreleased footage aplenty. 'When I was learning, I used to scour guitar mags for interviews, hoping that the collective wisdom they contained might put me on the right path to becoming a better, well rounded musician,' he says. |
